Robert Walter Jacobs (1868-1945) was a Boston publisher of popular music from 1894 to 1941. His most famous publication was National Emblem by Bagley, acquired in 1911 as part of the catalogue of Ernest S. Williams (founded 1906 or 1907). Jacobs also published many ragtime and popular songs. C.V. Buttelmann was his assistant and ultimately the general manager of the firm from 1916 until his departure in 1930.
