I have been able to find no biographical information about this violinist and composer (the birth and death years given are very rough estimates by myself). In 1896 (at least) he was the editor of 'Strings: The Fiddler's Magazine', published in London. The 'Strad' archive (online) has articles by him on various aspects of violin technique dated 1894 and 1895, and the British Library holds 18 of his compositions and arrangements dated between 1893 and 1912. His violin compositions in the 'salon' style designed to suit students at various levels. The piano parts are straightforward both harmonically and technically, but the pieces are quite effective and contain some memorable melodies.
