- Detailed biography: Possibly Ludwig Strack (1815-3-26 - 1853-7-19, a music teacher born and died Biedenkopf, Hesse (now Germany), who may have spent some, even considerable, time in the USA (possibly?). Married a woman with an English or American name, it seems, though fuller biography really seems needed for Ludwig or for that matter for Louis so far as possible.)
Of course perhaps "Strack", while apparently a perfectly valid family name, could also be, say, a publishing use-name for Starck?? (A library's estimate that his "Hop Waltz" was published by G. Willig of Baltimore in the 1820s are hard to understand given that, it seems, that institution did not exist strictly speaking during that decade.)
