I'll try to spread the word around Wagnersällskapet and some other places I'm familiar with. Maybe some wikipedians are interested in this project. I would actually want to start with the Swedish translation now. --Funper 19:57, 2 March 2007 (EST)
There are some issues with internationalization that I think need to be addressed in the medium term.

Can you please add my translation for main page to the codes? It's not finished yet. I'll finish it in a couple hours.

The link should be shown as "Türkçe"
Thanks! --Unal A 16:41, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
Hi,
I am willing to help in this translation, and I believe there are some people that would love to help me as well. Unfortunately, I do not know how to start, I need some guidance. Can someone lend me a hand?

Just a reminder for a point to consider in the future. Most , if not all translations, were outdated. This is particularly important for: submission guidelines, copyright pages, and copyright templates. I think the translations were also a reason for bad submissions (see forum). Options:

Abandoning translations might not be a good idea. I suppose that people who don't understand English well enough would start using automated translators, and that might be even worse. I think the best solution would be if we could come up with a system that allows us to easily mark all translations of a given page as outdated (without having to edit each translation manually!). However this should not happen automatically each time the English page is edited, because otherwise each spelling correction etc. would mark the translations as outdated, which doesn't make sense.
I'm aware that this might not be easy to implement, but one idea would be to create the ability to assign "version numbers" to the important pages and their translations. Whenever a "critical" change is made, the version number is increased (manually). When someone translates such a page, he assigns the same version number to the translation as that of the original page. When the two versions numbers no longer match (because the version of the original has increased), a big fat "outdated translation" warning message should appear at the top of the translated page, until someone updates the translation (and thus its version number). The "outdated translation" message should be the first thing that gets translated. The message could obviously contain a request to update the translation... --Leonard Vertighel 15:26, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
I have translated the main page to Danish:
http://imslp.org/wiki/Hovedside
Please add a link called "Dansk" to this page.
I'm translating for portuguese some pages, please add this Internacionalização to the English page, is not 100% but soon I will finish. Have some tag or code to pages on translating? Why have a predefinition Internationalization and Internationalization (translation), because i'm add a portuguese tag in the last but not show in English page only in the others. - Jcegobrain 07:56, 2 September 2008 (EDT)
I'm about to translate the Main page into Norwegian. However, the Danish word for "main page", "hovedside" is identical to the Norwegian one, and there already exists a Danish translation of this page. What should I call this page? My suggestion is to call it "Hovedside (No)", and at the same time give the Danish translation the new name "Hovedside (Da)". --Mhagir 17:05, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi everyone,
I've been working on the simplified Chinese translations for the last while, and I'm basing my terminology on the words used in the People's Republic of China (PRC) Copyright Act. Currently, the term PRC uses for copyright is being redirected to the term Hongkong uses (公有领域 is being redirected to 公共领域). May I overwrite the redirection and any other such redirections I come across? --Will W W 23:56, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I want to participate in the translation work. The very first thing I want to do is to translate these unfinished UI and fix the unnatural translation on pages. How can I start? —— David Copperfield
