Includes 2 tunes by Lady Mildmay; a footnote states that she is also the author of the tunes Morgiana and Nameless. This is Charlotte St John-Mildmay, nee Bouverie (1788-1810), who is credited (as "Miss Bouvrie") as the composer of the tune Morgiana in Gow's Morgiana, with Five more new Country Dances (c.1808). Another possibility (if Gow got his Lady Mildmays in a muddle) is Charlotte's aunt by marriage, Lady Jane St John-Mildmay (1764-1857), who was also musical. The tune Pittheavlis Castle is by the Honorable Miss Murray (Euphemia Murray); and the penultimate tune has the following attribution: Composed by Sir A. M. Mc.K. Decmr. 1808.
